Hydrosols are the aromatic waters produced during steam distillation. They’ve been used for centuries across many cultures, especially in herbal medicine and skincare, long before essential oils came to the fore.

Unlike essential oils, hydrosols are much gentler. They contain the water-soluble compounds of the plant and trace amounts of essential oil, making them suitable for regular use on skin, even for sensitive types.

Historically, they’ve been used for cleansing, cooling, wound care, and as natural perfumes or face mists.

Peach leaf hydrosol is gentle, cooling, and slightly moistening. It’s distilled from the fresh green leaves and carries the scent of amaretto with a cool green edge. This hydrosol is often used to soothe hot, irritated skin or as a comforting mist during periods of emotional tension or nervous overactivity. Because it's made from a complete distillation of the whole leaf, it contains the full range of water-soluble plant compounds, making it a subtle but steady support for overheated or unsettled systems.

All our hydrosols are distilled in-house using a traditional copper alembic still.
