Mugwort is a bitter herb that was traditionally used in beer-making before hops took the stage. This bitterness lends it to a number of different actions, including as a digestive tonic, and is a common ingredient in digestive bitters. This also helps for nervous energy that settles in the digestive system. Mugwort is a "dream herb" with classical associations with the moon, which can aid in restful sleep, but can also induce vivid or lucid dreaming in some.*
