I have two varieties of elderberry: Ranch and Wyldewood, two varieties that are known to be a bit more heat and drought tolerant than others (but they really benefit from afternoon shade and in a frequently watered spot!). Elders fruit best with cross pollination between different varieties. I am selling bundles of 6 cuttings, three from each variety. They are cut fresh, will not be rooted or leafed out.
Thankfully, propagating elderberry can be very simple! You can stick the cutting directly in the ground, in a spot that won't dry out too much over winter. Or you can sprout it indoors in a small container of damp soil, and only plant out what "takes." Success rate for the former method is around 60%, and the latter, if well maintained, closer to 90%, hence why I am selling as bundles of 6.
